PRESIDENT

As President and co-founder of Phelps Construction Group, Jeff Rainforth is responsible for overseeing company operations and is committed to promoting the firms core values, team building, and collaborative culture. Jeff has always had a passion for being a builder. His career started at an early age in the field as a residential carpenter. Jeff graduated from SUNY Delhi in 1995 with an AOS degree in Carpentry. His education continued at SUNY ESF and Syracuse University, where he graduated in 1997 with a BS degree in Construction Management & Engineering.

With an impressive resume of high-profile projects and clients, in almost every market sector, Jeff’s years of project management experience and his hands-on approach to every project have played a significant role in Phelps Construction Group becoming one of the leading Construction Management firms in New Jersey. As an engaged Co-Founder, managing projects ranging from Fortune 500 corporations to not-for-profit institutions, Jeff always brings his highly developed partnering skills, integrity, and honesty to the table.

Jeff has led our pre-construction planning and budgeting teams since our inception utilizing his extensive background in preparing conceptual budgets, hard bid estimates, and design/build GMP estimates. His background as a construction safety leader early in his career has fostered a deep corporate culture that has led to Phelps Construction Group being an industry example for proper safety management.
