Phelps Awarded Teachers Village – Building Five

NEWARK, NJ – Phelps Construction Group has been awarded the second project of Teachers Village at Four Corners’, ‘Building Five’, a five-story, 40,000 SF charter school with first floor retail space. ‘Building Five’ will house the Great Oaks Academy and the Chen School daycare which along with ‘Building Two’ will serve about 800 students from kindergarten through eighth grade and 150 children in daycare when completed. Teachers Village at Four Corners’ is a major urban renewal project that is part of Newark’s greater plan to revitalize downtown Newark between the Prudential Center and University Heights.
